SHARING CIGARETTES

If you sell or give tobacco to a friend who is under the age of 19, you can be charged under Sections 3(1) or 3(2) of Ontario's Tobacco Control Act.

According to the Act, no person shall sell or supply tobacco to a person who is or appears to be less than 19 years of age.

You can receive a fine of $215.00 or a summons to appear in court.

 

 
Smoking - what is it costing you?

There are a number of web sites that will help you calculate how much a pack of cigarettes hurts your pocket book, but ... the cost of a pack of cigarettes is going up continually, so most of the numbers quoted are out of date shortly after they appear on the web.

But they'll give you some idea of how paying for cigarettes and filling the cigarette companies bank accounts, prohibits you from buying some really neat things, including trips, stereos, snowboards and cars.
